Police launch effort for wellness checks on seniors in Camden | #CornerInsure #Police #Seniors #Wellness | Camden County police on Thursday announced a new initiative to help keep seniors, especially those who live alone, safe during weather emergencies and other times of crisis (Phaedra Trethan, Cherry Hill Courier-Post).
Senior Watch is another component in the department’s community policing efforts. Residents and family members can register loved ones online, and officers can check in during weather events like heat waves, making sure seniors are safe and have what they need to cope.
“It’s gratifying to see some good news for a change where it involved our men and women in blue,” says David Obregon, Cornerstone Insurance. “It’s especially interesting that a local police force has taken enough interest in our Seniors to actually go to this trouble to check on them. My hats off to Camden police officers!”
